Hardware - Our hardware options are all plated metals with the exception of our solid brass option. Please keep in mind that brass is the most durable, whereas our plated hardware can chip and become weathered over time if not taken care of properly. Please follow our cleaning guidelines to maintain longevity of your new Whisker Squad gear.
* Due to the nature of our collars being 100% custom to neck size & colour options chosen, we cannot offer returns or exchanges. Please measure your pets neck size precisely and avoid measuring previous collars. For an example on what measuring your pets neck would look like, check out the FAQ page.
Each dog collar has five holes that are 1'' apart. Ensure you have a great fit on your pets neck. Please order with your dog's measured neck size as the center hole.
To measure your dogs neck size, use a tape measure (a soft one) and measure the circumference of your pets neck while standing (use a comfortable fit, not too tight, not too loose and fur doesnt count!).
*If you do not have a soft tape measure, you can use a string to measure the neck and then use a rigid tape measure to measure the string.
For the best fit, you will want to order the appropriate collar size to your pets neck e.g. your pets neck size is 13'', then you would choose the collar in size medium, 12"- 14'' so that your pets size sits right in the middle.
Colour can vary from the photograph due to monitors showing colours differently.

*** To upgrade to a side release buckle, add the upgrade listing to your cart along with the collar of your choice. Please note that the side release buckle is NOT adjustable and is made exactly to your pets neck size that you order. Therefore please measure precisely.***
Our gear can withstand almost anything! But despite the super durability, it is important to inspect your pets gear regularly for any signs of wear and tear. Whisker Squad cannot be held liable for any injuries resulting from the improper use of products.
All you need is a little soap and water to clean your new Whisker Squad gear! Our collars and leashes are perfect for playing in the water and mud because they are waterproof. But be sure to clean off with soap and water and dry with a soft cloth to maintain longevity of your Whisker Squad gear. Salt water and abrasive substances can over time damage your plated hardware, if choosing to play in salt water, brass will be the best option for you.
If your leash or collar was exposed to a stinky substance, you may wish to wipe it down with some diluted white vinegar which will help neutralize any smelly odours.
Whisker Squads processing time is between 1 to 2 weeks. This is the time that it will take for us to handcraft your pets new gear in our shop. The time frame does not include the shipping time.
We try our best to handcraft and ship items out quickly, however the quality of our products is of the utmost importance. Please message us for expected delivery status if you need a rushed order.
For all customers, orders are shipped via tracked mail, this means that you can follow along and track the progress of your new gear as it ships to your house. For international orders, please keep in mind the time it takes to clear customs.
