Hardware - Our hardware options are all plated metals with the exception of our solid brass option. Please keep in mind that brass is the most durable, whereas our plated hardware can chip and become weathered over time if not taken care of properly. Please follow our cleaning guidelines to maintain longevity of your new Whisker Squad gear.

1.) Please measure the circumference of the girth of the thorax of your dog, just behind the elbow area. This measurement is almost always larger than the chest length measurement. From there,
2.) Measure the length of the chest from just behind each elbow. Be sure that the measuring tape is sitting in the middle of the chest when you are measuring. Also be sure there is no slack on the tape measure when holding it across the chest.
3.) The chest measurement must meet at the girth measurement area. See red dots on diagram.

* Please note that this harness uses 1" wide biothane and buckle materials. Due to the nature of this being a heavier product, it is not recommended for small breed dogs. If you would prefer a custom order using our 3/4" wide standard biothane (not heavy) material, please reach out to me and we can make sure we get the right size harness for your pet. This harness can be made using 3/4" material!

**Note: You can customize your harness even further, by mixing your harness colors! Leave a note in your order if you would like the chest strap a different color than the girth strap!
Our gear can withstand almost anything! But despite the super durability, it is important to inspect your pets gear regularly for any signs of wear and tear. Whisker Squad cannot be held liable for any injuries resulting from the improper use of products.
All you need is a little soap and water to clean your new Whisker Squad gear! Our collars and leashes are perfect for playing in the water and mud because they are waterproof. But be sure to clean off with soap and water and dry with a soft cloth to maintain longevity of your Whisker Squad gear. Salt water and abrasive substances can over time damage your plated hardware, if choosing to play in salt water, brass will be the best option for you.
If your leash or collar was exposed to a stinky substance, you may wish to wipe it down with some diluted white vinegar which will help neutralize any smelly odors.
Whisker Squads processing time is between 1 to 2 weeks. This is the time that it will take for us to handcraft your pets new gear in our shop. The time frame does not include the shipping time.
We try our best to handcraft and ship items out quickly, however the quality of our products is of the utmost importance. Please message us for expected delivery status if you need a rushed order.
For all customers, orders are shipped via tracked mail, this means that you can follow along and track the progress of your new gear as it ships to your house. For international orders, please keep in mind the time it takes to clear customs.
